چکیده
In recent decades, floods have been the most common, complex, and destructive natural calamities worldwide. Hence, for inclusive flood risk assessment, creating susceptibility mapping to demarcate flood-vulnerable zones is fundamental decision makers. To assess flood-prone locations in Akre, Iraqi Kurdistan Region, was undertaken using geographic information systems, remote sensing, an analytic hierarchy process model. susceptibility, systems framework used 15 ideal causative factors flooding: altitude, slope, distance streams, flow accumulation, drainage density, rainfall, soil type, lithology, curvature, topographic wetness index (TWI), roughness stream power index, transport land use/land cover, normalized difference vegetation index. The contributing flooding were optimally weighted with respect proposed final map reclassified into five different classes of very low (16.64% study area); (19.53%); moderate (38.92%); high (17.83%); (7.08%). area under curve values predicted rate success AHP model 0.956 0.971, respectively. Therefore, results accurate reliable. a powerful method mitigate serious impacts assist scholars, local governments policymakers future master planning.

Extended abstract 1- Introduction Floods are one of the natural events that cause human casualties and damage to buildings, facilities, gardens, fields, and natural resources every year. Urbanization disturbs the balance of slopes through indirect intrusion within watersheds, kills vegetation, soil compaction, and changes in the profile of waterways, increases the severity of floods, and incr...
متن کاملEvaluation of SEBAL Model for Evapotranspiration Mapping in Iraq Using Remote Sensing and GIS
Evapotranspiration is one of the major parameter in the hydrologic cycle. Standard measurements of this parameter is quite complex due to various factors such as variation of precipitation amount, spatial variation by latitude and longitude and changes in environment and specific site conditions. Although of this complexity, various methods were developed to estimate actual and potential Evapot...

The high hillsides of the Tehran metropolis are prone to landslides due to the climatic conditions and the geological, geomorphologicalcharacteristics of the region. Therefore, it is vitally important that a landslide susceptibility map of the region be prepared. For thispurpose, thematic layers including landslide inventory, lithology, slope, aspect, curvature, distance to stream, distance to ...
